DAY 6 - FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
We can judge how privileged you are by the friends you keep close with. Because you talk a lot, do things together and continually spend time with each other, that fellowship automatically influences your net worth, character, values, thoughts, actions and overall lifestyle. The scripture doesn’t say it in vain: “Evil company corrupts good morals.” And that keeps me reflecting on the opposite: If evil company corrupts good morals, what then does good company do? Good company corrects bad morals! Who you spend time with greatly influences who you become.
Now imagine God Almighty desires that we are not only His people but His Friends; having daily and non-breaking communion! He made this possible through the Holy Spirit, who Galatians 4:6 says “…He sent IN our hearts…” not in the prayer room or mountain. Why? The big intention is to transform us into the image of Jesus through fellowship.
However, having the Holy Spirit doesn’t mean that we have fellowship with Him. In 2 Corinthians 13:14 Paul calls people who already have the Holy Spirit to “…keep in His fellowship forever…”. Fellowship is the choice you make to actively engage Him in your life all the time. It means to jointly participate, engage and be attentive to the One you know is constantly with you. Coordination with Him is about receiving His help, but fellowship is about building friendship and intimacy with Him. It’s treating Him as a friend you’re so close to, sharing the good, bad, sorrows, laughter, triumphs and failures with all sincerity and openness in every little detail.

DO YOU SHARE WITH HIM ALL YOUR LIFE MOMENTS AND DETAILS? DOES HE KEEP LIKE A BEST FRIEND OUTSIDE YOUR PRAYER ROOM PROCEEDING WITH YOUR NORMAL DAY? IS HE CLOSER TO YOUR MIND THAN SIRI OR GEMNI? IS HE PART OF EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR DAY OR HE IS ONLY REMEMBERED IN THE PRAYER ROOM?
I encourage you today; you primarily have the Holy Spirit for fellowship. He wants your time, attention and mutual participation. If you keep learning how to maintain this fellowship with Him, His good character will correct all areas in which you’ve been falling short – and that’s true spiritual growth!
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, thank You for being close to me than I’ve ever thought. I understand that You truly love me, and You also desire to teach me all things, to transform me and make me like Jesus. I ask You my love, like a man pursues a woman, pursue me into this love relationship with You. Teach me how You want me to love you back, may my life glorify my King, all for God’s glory, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
