You'd love to talk to the Holy Spirit, but do you know how exactly to get started? Today the Holy Spirit will answer that question.

DAY 9 – TALKING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Jesus always encouraged His disciples to pray, but until a certain time they realized, yes, ‘we now know the importance of payer and we’d love to pray but wait, how we actually pray?’ So this pushed them to ask “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1. This happens to us the Holy Spirit generation: You come to be fully convinced He is always with you, willing and able to help at all times, constantly aware are of His Presence and ready to give Him total control, BUT you’re not sure how exactly to start this conversation with Him. Should I close my eyes, kneel down, use certain biblically formal pattern, or do it casually?
There are 2 ways we talk to the Holy Spirit, and 1 guiding principle:
1. Internally: The Holy Spirit was given IN your heart; meaning it is possible to talk to Him in your heart without opening your mouth. Those times when you’re physically engaged, environment can’t favor closing eyes or kneeling down, there can be an intentional heart-to-heart conversation within you. Ephesians 5:19 says you can “speak to yourself….make melody in your heart to the lord”.
2. Externally: There are some environments and moments which allow for openly verbal conversation. Please note that it has no scripted format; it is casual talking like Exodus 33:11, where we see a conversation between God and Moses “as a person talks to their friend”. Don’t try to be formal and scripted with talking to the Holy Spirit: tell Him exactly what’s going on; how you’re feeling and how exactly you want Him to help – casually but of course with all humility and respect.
The Guiding Principle:
FAITH: Without faith, you can’t be able to speak to the Holy Spirit is either of the ways above because it won’t make sense to you. There is need to “believe that HE is” present, listening and is going to act as “the reward giver to those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
KEY THOUGHT: RAISE YOUR FAITH AND AWARENESS THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS PRESENT AND LISTENING TO YOU, AND THEREFORE BOLDLY SPEAK TO HIM EXPECTING ANSWERS AND RESULTS. BE LIKE ABRAHAM IN GENESIS 18:27 HE SAID, “I HAVE TAKEN IT UPON MYSELF TO SPEAK TO THE LORD.” MEANING HE WAS NOT TOTALLY EVIDENTLY SURE HOW IT WOULD GO, OR IF IT’S EVEN PERMISSIBLE, BUT I’M TAKING THE BOLDNESS TO DO IT!
If you want to grow spiritually, take such boldness and speak to the Holy Spirit either internally in your heart or externally with your mouth as the situation calls for.
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, thank You for such a great privilege You have allowed me to be able to speak to You at all times. I have not used this privilege to full capacity, but thank You for opening my eyes today. Give me the grace and boldness to see You as a Friend that understands me however I come to you, I know I’m headed for great results in my spiritual and physical life. I love You Holy Spirit.
